Virtual to Hybrid - ISWKi transitions to
in-person learning
Students returned to ISWKi for the first time after nearly ten months of
virtual learning. The quiet and empty classrooms witnessed laughter and
learning from Sunday, 24th January 2021, ever-since the lockdown began
in March 2020.
The students were
bubbling with
energy and were
thrilled to be back.
Learners have started attending school following a hybrid model under
the new 3-phase plan. Phase one is complete as learners of grade 6-11
started coming in following the hybrid class schedule with odd and even
roll number students attending classes in alternate weeks.
Learners were elated to be welcomed by the Principal and Vice-Principal
along with their educators. Several activities like yoga, Zumba, dance,
sports, and games organized for the learners during the first half of the
day helped them ease into the transition. The students were bubbling
with energy and are thrilled to be back. While they felt nostalgic
reminiscing days without masks or the two-meter gap, they were more
than happy to get back with friends. Classrooms have been set up with
gadgets, decorations, and sanitized and distanced tables and chairs for
learners. Teachers deliver classes to both types of learners - in-person and
online simultaneously. And the new attendance model allows them both
to participate in classroom activities like group discussions.
The transition to hybrid has been smooth and flawless. Content with the
safety and precautionary measures in place, students and their parents
coming to school have encouraged home learners to opt-in for in-person
learning. Together as we fight the battle against COVID 19, ISWKi is
confident and ready to invite more learners back to school.
