I'M NOT LOST, I'M EXPLORING AND EXPERIMENTING!
Learning by doing is fun. It helps learners retain information better
because the process is enjoyable and memorable.
Learners of Grade 1 explored the things that can be found in the soil and
learnt that soil is a mixture of rocks, sand, clay, humus, water and air
with the help of an activity- shake soil in the bottle.
Learner’s of Grade 2 experimented how water is transported to different
parts of a plant through its stem.
Experiment Technique
For this experiment you will need 3 celery plant stalks preferably with
leaves and different food colour water. Let the celery stalk stand in the
coloured water overnight and you will see the leaves change their colour
gradually . For better results keep the celery stalk in water for a few more
days as you can see in the pictures.
