             PARENT ORIENTATION



             PROGRAMME


             An  orientation  programme  was  conducted  for  the

             present batch of IGCSE and grade 8 (lower secondary)
             on  Saturday  ,  the  26nth  day  of  October.  The  main

             motive  of  this  programme  was  to  orient  the  parents
             and  the  learners  about  IGCSE  -AS  and  A  level
             programme in the school.



             Parents of these sections were invited and learners too

             attended this interactive session. Principal welcomed
             the  gathering  and  the  session  was  later  led  by  the

             Coordinator,  giving  an  overview  of  the  Cambridge
             Programmes in IGCSE- A level .



             The university acceptance of the programme was well
             presented  in  the  orientation  which  served  as  a  True

             guide for the parents and the learners to decide upon
             the  subject  of  their  choice.  The  exam  policies  of

             Cambridge  and  the  internal  exam  windows  were
             informed to the parents by the Exams officer.

             The next half of the programme was carried forward
             by the subject specialists with a detailed explanation of

             their  subjects,  specifically  providing  an  overview  of
             the  syllabus,  paper  components,  weightage  of  each
             paper components and the future scope of the subject.

             The  ABLE  department  also  presented  their  plan  of
             action  in  Career  Guidance  included  in  the  syllabus.

             The programme concluded with a Q&A session.



             At the end of the programme parents were informed
             about  the  Google  form  to  be  filled  for  the  subject

             choices of their wards as well as IGCSE – AS handbook
             document reached the parents for their reference.
