Team ABLE
Orientation session for Parents and students -
Kindergarten, Primary, Lower Secondary and AS Level
Team ABLE strongly believes that "A child's mental health is just as
important as their grades,". The team therefore tries to make every effort
to be available to meet the needs of every student at school.
To ensure that parents can take advantage of the services, the team gave
a presentation during the orientation for the new academic year.
Mrs. Rashmi Patankar, the department in charge gave parents an
overview of all the areas the department deals with in order to ensure
that they are aware of the different services provided by Team ABLE.
Additionally, team members talked to parents about their area of
expertise and the role they play at school.
Parents were given detailed information about various counseling and
guidance programs, resources for students with special needs and
speech and language therapy services. The parents were also informed
about the process for meeting with counselors, special educators and
speech therapist and the formalities involved in completing the consent
form. Throughout the presentation, the team emphasized the
importance of mental wellbeing, not just for students but also for parents
and teachers.
ABLE department also collaborated with "Webifairs" and conducted an
exclusive virtual career session for Year 9 to AS level students. It was a
virtual career fair featuring over 60 universities around the world (Canada,
U.S., Hong Kong, Spain, the Netherlands, and more) where learners could
speak to student representatives individually.
