The school hours for Early Years are from 8:00 am to 12:15 pm.

Learners of Early Years bring the snacks from home, however meals and snacks are provided at the event

Secured Campus – The school premises are monitored with CCTV cameras.

Supervised Pick-up & Drop-off – Designated drop-off and pick-up zones with staff supervision ensure safe arrival and departure of students.

Assessments for Early Years learners are continuous and ongoing, focusing on observing and understanding children’s development in a holistic manner.

Yes, field trips are conducted to enhance learning by providing hands-on experiences that connect classroom concepts to the real world. Outdoor learning experiences are also integrated into the curriculum to foster exploration, curiosity, and a deeper understanding of the environment.

We support children’s social and emotional development through a nurturing environment that fosters positive relationships, self-awareness, and emotional resilience.

We actively involve parents in school activities and events to foster a strong home-school partnership and enhance children’s learning experiences. Some key ways include:

Learners should dress in comfortable clothing that is appropriate for indoor and outdoor play.

We encourage language development in young children through a variety of engaging and interactive strategies that build vocabulary, communication skills, and confidence in expressing themselves. Some key approaches include:
Storytelling & Read-Alouds, Conversations & Open-Ended Questions, Songs and Rhymes, Dramatic Play & Role-Playing, Language-Rich Environment, Encouraging Self-Expression, awareness, Multisensory Learning, Peer Interactions, Parental Involvement.

We celebrate birthdays at school, where the child is permitted to distribute one chocolate each to their classmates.

We have a school infirmary with a trained nurse present to provide medical support.

Learners have outdoor play during their PE lessons, which are held twice a week with PE teachers.

Learners who are ill or hurt can receive attention or rest in school infirmary. The infirmary is staffed by a trained nurse. If a child gets hurt or sick during the school day, the school nurse will call the parent to discuss the situation and, if appropriate, ask the parent to come and pick up the child. Learners can rest in the infirmary till the parent arrives.

 ISWK [Cambridge] follows the Cambridge Primary Curriculum framework, focusing on holistic learning through English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, and Computing.

The Primary Section includes Grades 1 to 5.

 School timings are from 8:15 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. for Grade 1-2 and 8:15 a.m. to 2:55 p.m for Grade 3-5.

 Each class generally maintains a balanced student–teacher ratio to ensure individual attention and quality learning.

 Through the school diary, ISWK Connect portal, circulars, emails, and scheduled PTMs.

 Core subjects include English, Mathematics, Science, Global Perspectives, Computing, and Arabic/Basic Arabic/ French. Students also have Art, Music,Yoga, Physical Education and Swimming.

 We follow an inquiry-based, learner-centered approach with emphasis on concept clarity, collaboration, and experiential learning.

 Assessments are both formative (ongoing) and summative, aligned with Cambridge standards. Students are evaluated on written work, oral presentations, projects, and class participation.

 Homework is given to reinforce classroom learning and build independent study habits, without overburdening students.

 Yes, support classes, extension activities, and enrichment programs are offered based on students’ learning needs.

 Students participate in art, music, sports, clubs, competitions, and inter-house activities designed to develop creativity, teamwork, and confidence.

Checkpoint Assessments (at the end of Grade 5) evaluate students’ understanding in English, Mathematics, Science, and Global Perspectives  providing diagnostic feedback for future learning.

The Cambridge Primary framework builds strong foundations in key subjects, developing skills for the Lower Secondary (Grades 6–8) and beyond.

The Cambridge Lower Secondary program is an international education curriculum designed for students aged 11 to 14. It provides a broad and balanced education, preparing students for higher levels of study.

The core subjects include English, Mathematics, and Science. Additionally, the school offers subjects like Global Perspective, Computing, Languages -Hindi, French, Basic Arabic, Arabic, Art and Design, Music, Dance and Physical Education.

Assessment is carried out through teacher assessments and standardized tests. At the end of the program, Cambridge Checkpoint tests are available for English, Mathematics, Global Perspective, and Science.

Cambridge Checkpoint tests are standardized tests assessing students’ English, Mathematics, Global Perspective and Science knowledge and skills. They provide valuable feedback on students’ strengths and areas for improvement. These tests are recommended not compulsory.

Encourage regular study habits, provide a quiet and comfortable study space, and engage in discussions about what they are learning. Additionally, you can use the school’s and Cambridge’s resources to support their studies.

Cambridge provides a range of textbooks, workbooks, and online resources. Schools may also offer additional resources such as worksheets, practice tests, and access to educational websites

The main examination session is the June series, typically held between April and June.
