‘Kindergarten’ is a German term meaning ‘garden for the children’. Kindergarten is the first place, where the children get to meet other children and adults, beyond their family and friends circle stepping out of their comfort zone. Kindergarten introduces young children to the school environment. It teaches them to sit and listen, to follow teachers and to cooperate with fellow students. This is the time when their interests reach the highest peak and develop in various directions.
The benefit of sending your child to a kindergarten school is critical for your child’s future growth and development. Research supports that children who attend kindergarten program tend to have better cognitive skills, higher IQ, better understanding, improved social interactions and develop a deeper love for learning.
Children who have a good learning start, are not only likely to adjust better in primary school but are also smarter and successful later in life.
At ISWK [Cambridge] Kindergarten Program, our focus is on activity based education by developing self-learning skills and offer children a variety of learning experiences that are fun and learning-oriented at the same time.
We believe in planting seeds of interest and love of learning in each child with the aim to develop an insatiable inner urge and quest for knowledge. We introduce children to new ideas through engaging them in activities that make their lessons fun and develop in them curiosity for their surroundings.
We emphasize on establishing strong learning foundation by encouraging inquisitiveness and independent thinking in the classrooms. Children are encouraged to question and experience the opening up of new vistas of their little world.
Our trained and expert teachers introduce concepts through interesting activities and fun games. We use audio–visual aids, creative arts, visual arts and performing arts to encourage creative thinking and expression. We use hands on experiential activity based learning by introducing concepts through real life activities and field trips.
