SINGING COMPETITION
We will rock you!
On the 30th of August the corridors of ISWKi reverberated with beats of the 70s. The
Inter-house Group Song Competition brought alive the 70s when the four houses sang
popular numbers from that era. The school was honoured by the presence of Mr. Ignacio
Patrick – Music Educator at Harmony International, Ms. Aloma – Music educator at The Sri
Lankan School and Ms. Sandamali – Music Educator with ABRSM, who graciously
acquiesced to judge the event. Vaayu house bagged the trophy with their resounding
rendition of ABBA’s Voulez Vouz. Coming in a close second was Jal house with their
moving version of The Carpenters’ “Yesterday Once more”. The third place was won by
Prithvi House with their poignant cover of The Carpenters’ “Top of the World”. Agni
house was accorded a warm appreciation for their version of Boney M.’s “Rivers of
Babylon”.
