Puppet Shows were organized by the Kindergarten educators to
welcome the learners back and it surely was a joyful learning
experience for our little ones. Since ages, immemorial puppetry
has proven itself to be a powerful medium of storytelling, which
not only leaves an impact on children, but also strengthens
their language skills.
Puppet show for K1 learners: The Enormous Turnip
Puppets make storytelling interesting and give the learners
scope for wider imagination. Our tiny tots were super excited
to watch an enthralling story come alive during the puppet
show, organized especially by the educators showcasing the
interesting story of ‘The enormous turnip.’ A progressive story,
in which a grandfather plants a turnip, which grows so large
that he cannot pull it up himself. He asks the grandmother for
help, and they together still cannot pull it up. Successively
more people are recruited to help, until they finally pull the
turnip up together.
The learners were in for a special treat with this puppet show
which captured their attention and opened doors to their
imagination. With all the protocols of social distancing in place,
the learners enjoyed the entire show with full enthusiasm and
interest. The show ended with the smiles and happy faces of
the learners, which made all our efforts worthwhile.
