Red Day at Kindergarten
Children usually learn about color during their preschool years. The ability to
identify colors is considered a marker and milestone in a child’s cognitive
process and is often part of early screening for development and
educational admittance. Recognizing the colors and identifying the color
names is an important part of a child’s development. Early identification of
colors helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words.
With these objectives the learners from Kindergarten of ISWKi celebrated
“Red Day” on Thursday 14th April 2022. This beautiful world is covered with
many different colours but red colour holds a distinct persona.
To make this day a very special and learning experience for our tiny tots, the
educators and learners were dressed up in Red clothes. Classes were
decorated with different assembled red colour objects.
Learners had fingerprinting activity on pictures of balloons and learners
enjoyed eating their red colour food packed from home.
