PURPLE DAY

             Fund raising event

On 30th November 2023, Our school, ISWK[Cambridge] was engulfed in a

vibrant wave of purple as we came together to celebrate “Purple day”, a
day dedicated to raising awareness regarding Pancreatic Cancer. This
event was made possible by the hard work put in by the founding members

of the charity committee under the guidance of our Vice Principal, Ms.

Sowmya M S, and non-academic coordinator, Ms. Lourdu Priya.

The first-ever Charity fair was not only about raising funds, but a way of
taking a stand against societal issues, particularly the battle against cancer.

It also served as a platform to educate the students about the importance
of early detection and prevention of cancer. Students and teachers were

all encouraged to embrace the spirit of the day by dressing in various
             shades of purple.

The fair commenced with a warm welcome to our special guests from the

Oman Cancer Association (OCA) community – Ms. Veronica and Ms.

Souhali. They were accompanied by our Principal Mr. D N Rao, Vice
Principal Finance Mr. Amit Khare and Vice Principal Ms. Sowmya M S, who
cut a symbolic purple ribbon to inaugurate the festivities.

The Charity fair was a feast for the senses, from delectable cupcakes to
chocolates, popcorns and savory treats like chicken, the lively atmosphere

and tantalizing aromas created an exciting ambience. Various stalls offered
an array of items, catering to the diverse preferences of students across

             the school.

One of the proudest moments of Purple Day was the incredible sum of 835
OMR. The generous contribution was donated to the Oman Cancer

Association, and we believe will make a meaningful impact on the lives of
             those affected by pancreatic cancer.
