LITERACY DAY
Kindergarten
We are excited to share the joy and magic that filled our school on Literacy Day!
Our little ones embarked on a thrilling journey through the world of words and stories.
Here's a glimpse of the wonderful activities that made this day memorable:
1. Story telling Extravaganza with The Saggy Baggy Elephant: Our young learners
gathered in rapt attention as our talented teachers brought The Saggy Baggy Elephant to
life through an enchanting story narration. Saggy Baggy's adventures inspired giggles and
wide-eyed wonder.
2. Library Adventure: Exploration and curiosity took center stage as our students visited
our school library. They were introduced to a treasure trove of books and stories, each
waiting to be discovered. Many found new friends in the pages of a book!
3. Creative Bookmark Making: Little hands were hard at work, creating beautiful Elephant
bookmarks, that they can use to mark their favorite stories. The creativity and enthusiasm
as demonstrated by our K1 learners on display were simply heartwarming.
4. Story Audiobooks: Our budding storytellers were happy to receive an audio story-
book and add it to their book collection at home.
5. Sight word Bingo: The learners of K2 were excited to play the Sight words Bingo
game. This was an excellent opportunity for the learners to recapitulate the Sight words
and were happy to play the game.
6. Name Game: Pre-K learners learnt and decorated their names. This helped the children
to identify their names, begin conversations and set everyone in the group at ease.
At ISWK[Cambridge], we believe that literacy is the key that unlocks a world of
imagination, knowledge and endless possibilities. It was heartening to see our learners
embrace the magic of books and stories with open arms. Let's continue to celebrate
literacy every day, as we encourage our little stars to reach for the stars through the
power of words.
