Pastoral Care- New addition to our co-scholastic program
What is Pastoral Care Education?
It means a whole-school strategic and operational approach to
improve learners’ attendance and to foster an atmosphere that is
conducive for learning and promotes tolerance, resilience, fairness
and equal opportunities for all. Such an approach to holistic care
should eliminate racism, inequality, discrimination and other
hindrances to learning, to create an ethos that culminates in positive
engagement and academic achievement of our learners.
Learners have been placed under the care of a mentor. A mentor is an
educator who is in contact with learner throughout the course of day
and can help them navigate the various obstacles of adolescence.
We hope that this initiative will make learning a wholesome
experience at ISWKi.
