Indian Science Forum- Annual Science Fiesta 2023

Junior Science Project

The Indian Science Forum’s Annual Science Fiesta 2023 brought together
hundreds of students from Indian schools located in different parts of Oman.

Organised under the Indian Social Club, this year’s theme was 'India’s Space
Journey: Moon, Mars and Beyond'.

The two day Annual Science Fiesta by Indian Science Forum of Indian Social Club
Oman has thrown light on several amazing facts.

Our school participated in the Junior Science Project titled Lunar Colony. The
enthusiasm and creativity of the learners amazed us. The participants were Sreys
Vulli from 5 Discoverers, Yashvi Bhatt from 6 Discoverers and Adisesh Dinesh
from 7 Creators. The learners got an opportunity to learn and discover a new
perspective of space.

Padma Shri Dr Mylswamy Annadurai, Former Director of ISRO appreciated
Adisesh’s reply to his question “I cannot see any school in your project”, on

which our learner replied that “The Lunar project is on its initial stage so we are
taking online classes from Earth”. This reply impressed Dr Mylswamy so much
that he mentioned this in his speech.

On-the-spot Science Project

Indian School Wadi Kabir International recently participated in the Annual Science

Fiesta organized by the Indian Science Forum at the National University of
Science and Technology, Muscat. Four talented students - Malach, Trushant,

Hridayesh and Maitreya - represented our school in the On-the-Spot Science
Project, where they constructed a model of a Mars landing module using a kit
that was provided to them. Although they did not win a prize, their participation

was a rewarding experience that deepened their scientific understanding and
sparked a passion for future events. We believe in nurturing our learners'

scientific curiosity, and events like the Annual Science Fiesta provide a unique
platform to showcase their skills and foster a love for science.
